When I was young, I fell in love with motorcycles with small and large engines. However, when I drove La Balita for the first time, it was a very different sensation. I understood why a Vespa should come with me to the trip that I planned around South America.

Why a Vespa Scooter?
I learned then that Vespa scooters are:
- Much more comfortable than bigger motorcycles.
- Higher maneuverability.
- Soft driving.
- Fine steering.
- High durability.
- Good looking.
(This is not an advertising, I'm not sponsored hahaha).
It's the truth. This motorcycles are great. Created when engineering was at its best moments of history mixing beautiful design and reliability.
Of course if you want to go fast, this is not the bike for you.
Fast travel?
Classic Vespas (just to not say old) are mostly slow but strong with four gears, which can take you to some decent 70 – 80 Km/h, even loaded! (but I will talk about it in an entirely different post). For me, is a very good traveling speed, that way you can look at all the landscape when driving. That's why a Vespa
That, my friends, its the most important part of motorcycle traveling. Having the pleasure to look around at your surroundings when you drive a motorcycle. You become part of the scenery because the bike will allow you to feel everything that's happening: hot and cold temperatures, rain and dry weathers, smell nice perfumes of flowers and also not so good odors. This makes the travel experience so great.
(for milenials, it's la virtual reality but much much better!!! hahahaha).
