Chilaquiles, the tortilla-tomato breakfast

Ingredients

The Chilaquiles is a mexican breakfast easy to prepare. If you are fan of hot sauce and tomato, then you will love it for sure.

What do you need for Chilaquiles?

Ingredients

  • Corn Tortillas: at least 4 units.
  • Onions: 2 units.
  • Tomato: 2 units.
  • Chilli: 1 unit.
  • Green Pepper: 1 unit
  • Eggs: 2 units.
  • Salt.

Materials, Tools and Machinery

Preparation of Chilaquiles

Cut and fry them all!

The tortillas and vegetables have to cut into 4 or more pieces. Fry the tortillas with oil in one frying pan and the vegetables without oil in another one.

Put into the Blender

Take all the vegetables, except the onions, into the food processor or blender. Turn it on until its reaches a semi-liquid form, without mercy. If it's too solid, add tomatoes instead of water.

Mix and re-fry

Now dump the mix into the frying pan with the onions.

Until they are crispy…

When the tortillas are fried, dump into the other frying pan and mix them all.

Fry a couple of eggs for the end, when you are serving the dishes.

Final version of Chilaquiles

Here you can see how mine looked like. Serve the Chilaquiles on a dish and put the eggs above (as if it were the cherry on top).
